Promoting Opportunities for People to Play Where They Choose
Recreation Referral Service Training!
Are you a therapeutic recreation specialist, other helping professional, a family member, or a friend with experience in working with people with disabilities in recreation settings?
Are you interested in meaningful, important volunteer service in your community?
Do you believe that all people, regardless of ability, have a right to pursue the recreation activities of their choice in their community?
Then you should become a trained Inclusion Advocate!
The Recreation Referral Service Training teaches you how to be an Inclusion Advocate.
You can then facilitate the inclusion process for an individual with a disability in your community or region who needs additional assistance with recreation.
Using the therapeutic recreation process, IRRC will support you as you facilitate inclusion, one person at a time.
If you are a trained Inclusion Advocate, the "For Trained Inclusion Advocates Only" page has all the tools and resources you need to facilitate the Recreation Referral Service.
